CREATIVELIVE.com | ART DIRECTION + DESIGN + UI

  • CreativeLive is a web platform providing online classes in photography, design, craft, business, and entrepreneurship. A refresh of the brand identity, along with a new voice + tone, resulted in needing a homepage design overhaul.

Collaborating with the executive team, I created a new wireframe and visual layout for the homepage. The primary target accomplished, is to incorporate motion into the hero/top fold of the page, so users landing on site are presented with what live truly encompasses within CreativeLive. Video integration on site is prevalent on product pages, but had not been utilized on marketing pages before this implementation.

Leading the engineering effort, responsiveness behavior influenced the implementation. Curated navigation and a streamline module system are in place, ensuring future marketing endeavors will be easily executed. The B2B enterprise program and a community share feature now live on the homepage, to better display the portfolio CreativeLive has on offer.

CREATIVELIVE.com Blog | ART DIRECTION + DESIGN + UI

  • CreativeLive is a web platform providing online classes in photography, design, craft, business, and entrepreneurship. The majority of native traffic comes via blog articles, so a layout and user interface upgrade to the blog was needed to improve reader experience and increase flow between the content and web product offerings.

Collaborating with the social and marketing teams, I created a new wireframe and visual layout adhering to a responsiveness behavior implemented across the homepage, category pages, and individual post pages. Interface features included a new navigation and grid layout, hero post portals, support modules, and a dedicated header for CreativeLive product integration. The design incorporates the updated visual identity guidelines, from photography to fonts, colors, and typeface.

Leading the engineering team, we developed a responsive mobile-first platform to address the marketing and social departments needs by building easy-to-use image integration tools and blog specific tags and labels. In addition, we ensured content integration from the old layout was seamless, without loss of any crucial past content.

BORROWLENSES.com | ART DIRECTION + UX DESIGN

  • BorrowLenses is an online professional photo/video gear rental company. Essentially an ecommerce platform, the backend is a custom management system, independent of the front end UI. The website layout needed responsive behavior for it’s growing customer base, and a more robust platform for increasing marketing efforts.

Working with the marketing team, I created new wireframes, visual identity and user interface principles for the website. Overall, my focus was to present the brand experience as approachable and the product purchasing flow, quick and informative. The homepage and product pages are designed in a module stack, wherein new content, product, and marketing initiatives can be added and implemented with ease.

Leading the engineering effort, responsiveness is the target for all product display. A new curated navigation and rental calendar system is implemented to ensure smooth customer experience and increase order volume. Additional pages including Account, Checkout, FAQ and marketing landing pages are executed using the same design principles and interface to ensure consistency across the customer experience.
