BRAND + DIGITAL DESIGN

  • CreativeLive is a web platform providing online classes in photography, design, craft, business, and entrepreneurship. In addition to classes, they hold conferences hosted by experts and teachers in a specific field of profession. A new conference was focused around podcasts, and podcasting technical execution. First year producing this conference, they needed creation of branding and a visual strategy.

In addition to designing the logo and branding assets, I created with the tagline Get your story out, a direct call to action, highlighting the technical how-to classes the conference presented, as well as the emotional connection to what student’s can achieve utilizing podcasts as a medium. Overall, my focus was to make the learning experience approachable, and achievable in execution. I also created email templates and social assets for marketing material and promotion.

WORKSHOP CAMPAIGN | ART DIRECTION + DESIGN + UI

  • The Photoshop Week conference happens annually, this year needing the branding to be the modern representation of what can be accomplished using the software. In addition, a new interface experience was requested for promoting the conference.

In collaboration with the video production team, I designed the logo and branding around the visual style and materials provided by the instructors. The artwork is abstract and combined photography composites, color and motion. In addition, I created multiple hero concepts, email templates and social assets for use across the marketing platforms.

On the front-end, I created the wireframe and visual layout for the responsive landing page to be implemented on the website. Leading the engineering team, we developed a stable platform the company continues to use, edit and grow for future conferences.

  • BorrowLenses is an online professional photo/video gear rental company. Primarily a B2C company, the time came for an upgrade in branding to best evoke their mission in providing gear to creatives for any occasion or project. BL’s visual identity needed to fit into the creative market as well as be adaptable for any design application.

Collaborating with the ownership group and executives, I created a new company logo and wordmark. I wanted to achieve a look that is modern, clean, and impactful. Utilizing the lens flare iconography from the old logo, I implemented a crop to incite movement and action, but everything else was scrapped. A new color palette and typeface is introduced to streamline the wordmark as well as ensure the logo will carry visual weight regardless of application size. From there, I designed supporting collateral including business cards, t-shirts, uniforms, promotional items, presentation decks, and a design guide.

LOGO + BRAND IDENTITY | ART DIRECTION + DESIGN

  • Soil and Vine is an independent wine merchant and importer based in the Napa valley. They were in need of new branding and visual identity.

Collaborating with the owner and marketing manager, I created a logo and logomark uniting the company name and evoking the romantic endeavor of Ruben, the owners’ passion for wine discovery. Utilizing a distinct color palette and typeface, I designed supporting collateral including business cards, print materials and packaging.

SOCIAL CAMPAIGN | ART DIRECTION + DESIGN

  • Oh Snap! Booth Co. wanted to take advantage of their unique photography software to help inform and encourage social engagement. We wanted to create a social campaign around working from home + togetherness.

Collaborating with the team at OSBC, I created a hero image + social assets around campaign concept and mosaic execution. Also developed a landing page for the photo mosaic software to live as well as further promotion of the campaign and communication. Upon submission of photos using the hashtag, the software stitches together a digital mosaic creating one image from many.
